We all have asked that question of ourselves, haven’t we? We live in a world that continually pushes us to do more…earn more…work more…play more…and live more. The pressure for more can be, at times, well…more than we can handle!
But what if “getting more out of life” begins with being satisfied with less? What if we had less religious activity and more connection with the true, authentic Jesus? What if we had less personal preferences and more focus on blessing other people? What if we were less concerned with only interacting with our “inner circle” and had more connection with all those whom God has placed in our paths? What if we had less obsession over our careers and more satisfaction in doing our jobs well to the glory of God? What if our moments of suffering we face on this earth could speak less about us and more about what God is doing through us in our pain? And finally, what if we chose to focus less on what our final days on earth will look like and instead chose to live a life “more abundant” in Jesus Christ every single day?
So…is it ok to want more? We, as your pastors, think that it is when we all define “more” as being right in the center of God’s will for our lives.
We invite you to join us on this journey, beginning September 13th.
