Backpacks Filled with Hope
One of the greatest joys of being the Church is getting to be the hands and feet of Jesus in tangible ways. Thanks to the incredible generosity of our Second Baytown family, we had the privilege of serving children through our Angel Tree Back-to-School Drive.
Angel Tree is a ministry that supports children with an incarcerated parent, reminding them that they are seen, loved, and never forgotten. As a church, we had the opportunity to help these students start the school year with the supplies they need and the encouragement they deserve.
Because of your faithful giving and willingness to serve, backpacks were filled, school supplies were provided, and families experienced the love of Christ in a practical way. While the backpacks are important, what matters most is the message they carry: God sees you, He loves you, and His people care about you.
As we begin a new school year, let's continue praying for these students, their caregivers, and their incarcerated parents. May God use every act of kindness to point families to the hope found in Jesus Christ.
